Incorrect totals

If a country total looks wrong, check these in order.

  1. Stays are not days. Lodging never enters residency or Schengen. Only journeys do.
  2. Counting method. Any-presence includes arrival and departure. Midnight drops a real departure date. Country totals can exceed 365 because a crossing date can count in two countries.
  3. Window. Calendar year is not rolling 365. Schengen is 180 days, not 365. Confirm the as-of date in the toolbar.
  4. Traveler. Header traveler switcher changes whose journeys are counted. Totals are per person.
  5. Gaps. Uncertain days are unowned. They are removed from the previous country, not assigned to a guess. Open gaps to a future journey block the calculation entirely.
  6. Domestic hops and transit. Same-country journeys do not add presence. Full calendar dates spent only on a plane or ferry are transit, not country days.
  7. Local clocks. Wrong timezone or UTC conversion shifts which local date a landing falls on.
