Incorrect totals
If a country total looks wrong, check these in order.
- Stays are not days. Lodging never enters residency or Schengen. Only journeys do.
- Counting method. Any-presence includes arrival and departure. Midnight drops a real departure date. Country totals can exceed 365 because a crossing date can count in two countries.
- Window. Calendar year is not rolling 365. Schengen is 180 days, not 365. Confirm the as-of date in the toolbar.
- Traveler. Header traveler switcher changes whose journeys are counted. Totals are per person.
- Gaps. Uncertain days are unowned. They are removed from the previous country, not assigned to a guess. Open gaps to a future journey block the calculation entirely.
- Domestic hops and transit. Same-country journeys do not add presence. Full calendar dates spent only on a plane or ferry are transit, not country days.
- Local clocks. Wrong timezone or UTC conversion shifts which local date a landing falls on.
